Frameless Shower Glass Installation
You have the ability to upgrade your home by adding a new frameless shower door or redesigning one already in place, can increase your home’s value. Frameless glass showers make even smaller bathrooms look larger than they are and more open, and you won't ever have to worry about cleaning mildew-covered, dirty shower curtains in the future.
A frameless shower enclosure uses thick tempered glass (usually 3/8" or 10mm to 1/2" or 12mm thick) that does not need the support of metal around its outside edges. This results in a clean, modern appearance. Frameless shower doors are extremely popular because they help showcase exquisite stonework, elaborate tile designs, and bright hardware.

Types Of Glass
Clear Glass
Sometimes clear glass has a slightly greenish tint, but this coloration is not always noticeable. This is due to the iron in the glass when it is manufactured. Since they have no texture, they can be installed in and matched with any style of bathroom to give it a timeless appearance. Their quiet and simplistic look is what makes them the go-to glass among homeowners. Being see-through, they make smaller bathrooms look larger than they are and more open. As there is no obstruction of light in the bathroom, it makes the area appear brighter.
Opaque and Frosted Glass
Frosted and opaque glass shower doors are becoming extremely popular in North America. Their smooth and soft appearance gives you a lot more privacy than clear glass. To create the frosted texture, manufacturers sandblast one side of the panel or lay it in acid. This gives the glass panel a texture and prevents light from easily passing through it. A bonus to frosted glass is that the frosting keeps smudges and fingerprints from easily being seen compared to a clear glass surface. However, they are a little harder to clean. This type of shower door can accumulate soap scum a lot easier as well.
Starphire or Low Iron Glass
Although it is true that conventional clear glass is clear, there is an organically greenish tinge to the glass that can somewhat distort the color of what is behind it. If you look at the edge of any piece of standard clear furniture glass or shower glass, you’ll notice a green cast around the outside, which becomes darker as the glass becomes thicker or longer. The view from the side of the glass shows you the iron throughout the whole panel. If the greenish black edge is unpleasant for you, there is an another option. It is called Starphire Glass.
